THE SOCIAL

For a kid who used to pretend she was David Letterman, this is the dream job. I started in Season 1 as a digital correspondent—writing for the website and being the fifth chair on Fridays. Flash forward to Season 12 (and two Canadian Screen Awards later), and I now cohost the live show every Monday and Friday—and whenever else the coach (a.k.a. our EP) puts me in. When I’m not filming Kaftans in the Kitchen—an Instagram Live cooking show shot by my partner Simon, featuring me, yes, in a kaftan—I’m out in the field creating taped stories that let me explore, ask questions, and have a lot of fun doing it.

MILK MASTERS

For a kid who also pretended she was on a cooking show, hosting Milk Masters—a cooking competition series from CTV and Dairy Farmers of Ontario—has been another dream gig. I’ve hosted the show for the past two seasons, and even earned a writing credit, thanks to Executive Producer Claudia Abate.

THIS IS NOT ABOUT SWIMMING

For a “child actor” in school plays, acting in Marnie Van Dyk’s short film This Is Not About Swimming—about a woman taking a chance to change her life—was a dream realized. The film premiered at TIFF in 2023, and I got to perform alongside actual actors Emma Hunter and Daniel Chae Jun.
