Food is the story I’m always telling.
My first byline, back in 2008, was about a winery in Italy run by former drug addicts. Food and drink writing has been dear to me ever since. Maybe it’s because I spent a decade working at Terroni, or because I once ran a blog called Foodie and the Beast—a relationship blog cleverly disguised as a food one. I’ve always believed the liveliest conversations happen around a table, a bottle, or a bowl of something good.
I used to write anonymous restaurant reviews for Toronto Life. These days, I bring that same curiosity—and a slightly more public face—to everything from wine recommendations to recipe testing. Whether it’s a $13 white that drinks like Chablis, a new cookbook I can’t stop cooking from, or a beloved Canadian ingredient, when I love it, I share it—and my audience pays attention.
